By accident I recently stumbled across David Lavenham's four excellent "The Hamiltons" stories (archived at ASSTR) and discovered he'd essentially written it. Since I liked my characters, I didn't want to abandon them. After considerable thought, aided by considerable gin and tonic, I decided to make them an oblivious, dysfunctional family that saw itself as completely normal -- not unlike the Brady Bunch, except worse. I cross-bred David's "The Hamiltons" with the Andersons of "Father Knows Best," the Cleavers of "Leave It to Beaver," the Bundys of "Married with Children" and "The Appletons" from "National Lampoon Magazine." I got a mother who's June Cleaver on housekeeping steroids and who thinks valium and vibrators are legitimate babysitting tools; a father who's hot for anything in a skirt; and two kids who are hot for their parents, for each other, and for revenge against anyone who messes with any one of them. In other words, I got a bunch of amoral "fuckwits." Hence the family name and its correct pronunciation. In this, their first story, Fylica needs an "A" on her sixth grade history test. She's willing hold her breath long enough to blow the teacher, Mr. "Stinky" Stengler, for an "A," but the last time that happened, "that little bitch Candy Carroll" fucked Stinky in exchange for his giving Fylica a low grade anyway. Brother Freddie may be only a well-hung fifth grader, but he has a plan to help Fylica get even with Stinky. Or as Dad says: "You don't fuck with a Fuquit!" *** This story is one of consensual romantic incest between adults and their pre-teen children and between the children. It also includes student/teacher sex.
