In the last three weeks she had tried, unsuccessfully, to get through to her best friend, Victoria Andrews-Hawkes. Now it was a week before Christmas, and Rhonda couldn't believe she hadn't been able to corral her for their annual shopping trip. Rhonda Elaine Billings McMasters. Went to all the right schools, all the right parties, all the right clubs... you get the idea. Part of (and some considered leader of) the so-called 'No Regrets Club,' a group of very rich men and women, all in their 30s, all of whom used their money and influence to set up plenty of hedonistic pleasures, tempting and turning 'normal' human beings into willing partners and slaves to their sexual desires. All this and more Rhonda had been a part of, along with her lifelong friend Victoria. But apparently something had gone wrong. Victoria had accepted a dare from the group that involved breaking up a happy marriage and had worked on it for almost a year. And then, when the year was up, she had failed to come back to the group. In fact, none of them had heard from her since just before Thanksgiving. Calls to her temporary apartment (rented for the purpose of the dare) went unanswered. What was going on here? After talking to Stanley, the owner of security firm that had originally come up with the couple, Rhonda learned that Victoria was still working at the job she had taken as part of her plan, but was now staying with William and Jacqueline Bellman, the husband and wife she was supposed to break up. Rhonda's first thought was that Victoria was still trying to complete the challenge, even though the year was up. But if that was so, why wasn't she talking to any of the 'group?' Therefore, on Saturday morning Rhonda decided to take charge of things and headed to the Chicago suburb where the Bellmans lived to find Victoria and see what had happened to her friend. ------------------------------------------------------------------- "Oh, Vicky, you don't have to... aahhhh!" Bill Bellman moaned as Vicky expertly sucked his cock to a full erection in the shower, massaging his balls and occasionally poking a finger teasingly into the entrance of his ass. Meanwhile, wife Jackie was busy tonguing Vicky's clit while finger-fucking her cunt. Once Bill was more than ready, Vicky turned and bent over and Jackie guided the blood-engorged tool into her, then resumed licking her clit while Bill started pumping. "God... so good, so good, so close... uh, uh," Vicky grunted, finding herself very close to cumming. "Twist them, Jackie, please," she begged the wife, who obliged by grabbing and pulling her tits just the way she liked it. "Oh YES, YES, YES, DAMMIT, UHNNN!!" Vicky cried as she came... and came... and came some more. Never had it been this good! Vicky shuddered and gradually came back to her senses. "Ummmm. That was the best yet!" She turned and slid her hands over Bill's still turgid cock. "Hey Jackie, lookie what I have here!" Jackie looked up from licking Vicky's copious juices, her face shiny and grinning. "You mean you left some for me?" Later in bed, Bill was hammering away into Jackie's cunt as she sat on him facing forwards, bouncing rapidly in time with his thrusts. Bill had hold of her tits and Vicky was busy rubbing and occasionally smacking her clit. "Oh my god! Oh my god! That's it! Squeeze them! Squeeze my tits!" Jackie's eyes were nearly rolled up as the sensations came one on top of the other. Then Vicky rapidly vibrated her whole hand over Jackie's clit and Jackie arched her back and screamed, "GAAAHH, SHIT, FUCK, DAMN, OHHHHHHHHH!" When she arched her back, Bill felt her pussy contract, squeezing him deliciously as she came, hard. "OOOHHHHHHHH FUUUUUCK!" he yelled as he started pumping his cum deep inside his wife. Both of them nearly passed out, and Vicky lovingly stroked them both lightly as they came down from their high. --------------------------------------------------------------------- An hour later, dressed in robes, Jackie and Bill slowly made their way down to the kitchen where a fully dressed Vicky had prepared brunch - steak and eggs, with sides of ham, home fries and waffles. "I figured you guys needed some extra nurishment after that bout," Vicky smiled. "Oh god, Vicky, you are a life saver," Jackie replied as she sat down and dug in. Bill added a distinct "Mmmmph" as he was already shoving food in his mouth. Vicky joined them moments later after pouring out cups of coffee for all. After twenty minutes they all sat back, satisfied. Bill just couldn't resist a loud burp. He was surprised when Vicky matched him. Jackie rolled her eyes but thought she'd corner Vicky later and ask how she did that. "And what are you doing dressed and perky?" Jackie asked. "Why, it's time to go Christmas shopping!" Vicky replied. "After seeing the shape you two were in I thought it would be my chance to get a few things without prying eyes." Vicky's eyes twinkled as she looked at her two friends. "Shopping?" Jackie perked up immediately. "Shopping?" Bill groaned and waved his hand. "I'll pass, for now. Besides, the Bears are playing today in one of those special Saturday games." "Shopping," Vicky stated and stared at Jackie, "alone!" "Oh, all right. But that means we go shopping tomorrow without you!" Jackie replied. Bill tried to look sorrowfully at Jackie, but couldn't keep from smirking a little. "I guess I'll have to go with you tomorrow," he pouted, "and you'll have to watch the Bears with me today." "Yes, dear," Jackie leered, "and I'll probably have to sit in your lap so you can explain what it means to go up the middle again, and again, and again," she said licking her lips. Bill shrugged. "What can I say, it's one of the things I do best!" ------------------------------------------------------------------ Rhonda drove up the driveway and parked right beside the Camry Victoria had purchased for the dare. "Well," she thought, "whether she's living here or not, she's here now." Striding to the door, Rhonda stopped and took a deep breath. "Here goes nothing!" she muttered under her breath, and rang the bell. All three looked up in surprise. Who could that be? Bill tightened his sash and moved towards the door in order to see who it was. Looking out the peephole, he saw a striking brunette in a tailored suit looking around rather impatiently. Motioning to Jackie to go and get dressed, he asked through the door "Who is this, please?" "My name is Rhonda, and I'm a friend of Victoria Anderson's," came the reply. Bill thought for a moment and then said, "There's no Victoria Anderson here." Rhonda knew that was the name her friend had used. "Come on, dammit, her car is in the driveway! I know she's here! Let me in!" Vicky, who had been cleaning up the kitchen, heard that last exchange. "Bill," she said, "it's okay. You go ahead and get changed and I'll let her in." "Are you sure?" Bill asked. "Yes. It's time for me to talk to her anyway." "Vicky will be here in a moment, miss." Bill headed for the stairs as Vicky made her way to the door. When Vicky opened the door, Rhonda exclaimed, "Where have you been..?" and stopped short. She looked at her friend closely. "Victoria?" "Yes," Vicky smiled, "it really is me. Come on in." Vicky showed Rhonda into the family room, and asked if she wanted anything to drink. Rhonda shook her head no as she continued to stare at her friend. "Victoria, there's something...different about you." "Oh?" Vicky smirked. "And just what is different?" "You are. You're so, so, so..." "I'm just so, so, eh? Gee, and here I thought I was doing well!" Exasperated, Rhonda tried again. "No, that's not what I meant. You're... happier than you've been in a while, more... " "Human?" Vicky nodded brightly. "You're right, I am. And guess what?" "What?" "I'm ready to go Christmas shopping!" ------------------------------------------------------------ Once the Bellmans had come down and been quickly introduced, Vicky dragged Rhonda out to the Camry and they started off for the local mall. What followed seemed like a dream to Rhonda. She started to get caught up in Vicky's bright attitude and before long, they were chattering away about 'things' almost like when they were teenagers. At the mall, Vicky took her to the kinds of stores she either hadn't been in for a while or had never been in, and somehow it seemed right. At some point, Vicky started calling Rhonda 'Ronnie.' For her part, instead of Victoria her friend was now 'Vicky.' It was as if the years had slipped away. They discussed the colors and styles of a teddy for Jackie at the Victoria's Secret, finally laughing when they had settled on a pale green for the redhead. They had a deep discussion on boxers vs briefs for Bill, and then got him a silk thong style brief that Vicky said would probably make him very uncomfortable when aroused (so he'd take it off as quickly as possible). They also came up with jewelry and watches, an evening gown and a tux, and other accessories before taking a break for a cup of coffee around 4. After a quiet moment sipping her coffee, Vicky asked, "Ronnie, we seem to have done my shopping for the Bellmans. Who do you want to shop for?" Ronnie looked startled, as she had been so caught up in the moment she had completely forgotten her original reason for coming out to the suburbs in the first place. "Well, the usual, I guess. Stan, Tom, Dana and you." "And your husband, Sean?" Vicky murmurred, "What about him?" Ronnie's jaw dropped. "Sean? What about Sean?" Vicky sighed. "Ronnie, dear, as you can tell, I've changed my way of thinking about quite a few things. My marriage to the late Reggie Hawes, for example. I know the coupling was a merger, not a marriage, but looking back on it I realize that he was quite fond of me and did his best not to get in my way, regardless of what I did to and around him. I now remember occasionally seeing a hurt expression in his eyes when I'd take off for yet another 'date' with a young hunk. Of course, I ignored it because I was having so much fun. At least, that's what I thought at the time." After another sip, Vicky continued, "Then I met the Bellmans." She looked her friend in the eye. "It was a little weird at first. I knew Bill saw me as an attractive woman, but he never made a move. In fact, it was Jackie that made the first move." Ronnie interrupted, "You mean she made a pass at you?" "No, no, not at all," Vicky replied. "She invited me to their house and to go with them on outings - even though she knew I was trying to get Bill into the sack!" "What do you mean, she knew?" "I mean she, and apparently Bill too, realized the day I interviewed for the job at Bill's company that I was coming on to him, that I was out to make him a trophy on my mantle. And Jackie was the one that encouraged my efforts." "That doesn't make sense. Was Stan's information wrong?" "No. That's what made it even weirder. They were both virgins when they were married and totally faithful and committed to each other. Still are." "So you haven't..." "Yes, I have! With the two of them, together! And Ronnie," Vicky stared into her eyes, "it's been like heaven on earth. And not just the sex," Vicky continued, "It's the shows and the museums and the zoos and the boating and sitting around the fireplace or the grill... it's like a breath of fresh air!" "Damn," muttered Ronnie, "you've got it bad. And what about this threesome business? You never did anything other than one-on-one and only with men. In fact, kinky in any way shape or form was out with you." "Kinky still isn't in with me, Ronnie. Somehow, it isn't kinky with those two. It's just... " Vicky shrugged, "I've given up trying to come up with an explanation. I'm just enjoying it. A LOT! So, what about Sean?" Vicky persisted. "As you know I've slept with him, and remember him as being a pretty good lover. In fact, I caught myself thinking at the time that you had done better than me at the altar." Ronnie stared at her friend with unbelieving eyes. "You've got to be kidding! Sean, a good lover?" "You mean he isn't with you?" Vicky was puzzled. She knew it had been a while, but she was pretty sure she had enjoyed it the night she had secretly swapped with Ronnie. "Vicky dear, after our wedding night we almost never slept together since Sean prefers men!" "But what about that night we secretly swapped?" Ronnie slapped her hand to her mouth, "Oh, my god! I never told you, did I?" "Told me what?" "When I sent you to my room, my brother was in it, not Sean!" "What!? You mean.. " "Yes, that night you were taking Richie's virginity. Richie made me promise never to tell, but now I figure you ought to know." Vicky was stunned. She had been 24 and Richie would have been 19 at the time. "Richie was still a virgin? That can't be. He was too good." Ronnie giggled. "Well, he told me he was a virgin and I don't think he'd lie to his big sister about that. What would be the point? Anyway, there's no reason for me to buy a gift for Sean. I'd have to ship it to San Fransisco." The rest of the afternoon the two women gradually regained their enthusiasm and picked out some outrageous gifts for the rest of their little group, although Rhonda occasionally would take a guarded glance at her friend and finally seemed to come to some sort of conclusion. When she did, the smile she had wasn't a pretty one. -------------------------------------------------------- Back at the Bellman's, Bill was enjoying Jackie more than the game, as the Bears, no longer in playoff contention, gradually slipped farther and farther behind. After the game ended, the couple cuddled on the sofa in front of the fire Bill had built at halftime, back in the robes they had worn that morning. "Honey, thank you," Bill murmured. "You're welcome, but for what?" "For your excellent Christmas present, of course." "And that would be... " "Vicky," Bill smiled. "You were certainly right. She has added a lot to our marriage." "Mmmmm, you can say that again," Jackie said as she nuzzled closer, hugging her husband. The now comfortably snuggled pair gradually drifted off to sleep. ----------------------------------------------------- After transferring packages to Ronnie's car and sending her off with a promise to stay in touch, Vicky found the Bellmans asleep on the family room sofa. A soft smile touched her lips as she quietly added a couple logs to the fire and then went to the kitchen and started to put together some cold cuts and cheeses for a light dinner. The perking decaf apparently got Jackie's attention, as she wandered in and immediately went for a mug, yawning and stretching all the way. On the way to the pot she detoured to give Vicky a quick kiss, then filled her mug and took a couple swallows. Thus fortified, Jackie asked, "So, how did it go?" "Very well," answered Vicky. "Boy are you going to be surprised!" "I'll bet," said Jackie. "I'm more interested in Rhonda than the shopping, though." "We actually had a lot of fun together. I was able to call her Ronnie, and got her to call me Vicky instead of Victoria. It was almost like old times," Vicky offered. "Almost, eh?" Jackie took a couple more sips and pondered that a moment. "Want to talk about it?" "How do you do that?" Vicky exclaimed. "Do what?" "Know when I'm bothered about something?" "It's a gift. Must have something to do with living a clean life," Jackie leered. Vicky stared at her a moment, then chuckled. "Yeah, a clean life. Like in the shower this morning, right?" "Absolutely, my dear! Now, back to the subject at hand. What's bothering you?" Vicky looked at her friend, thought a moment, then came to a decision. "I need for both of you to listen to this. Please, let's wait for Bob." "Wait for Bob to do what?" Bob entered at that moment and mirrored the earlier actions of Jackie, going for a mug and a quick kiss from Vicky. As he shuffled his way to the coffee pot, he continued, "Does it involve strenuous activity of any kind?" "No, it involves sitting down and listening." "Oh darn," he gave her a sly look, "Will this take long?" "Maybe." Bob caught the serious look on Vicky's face and immediately stopped fooling around, got his coffee and sat at the table with Jackie. "Sorry, Vicky. I'm ready now." Vicky sighed. "It's okay. Shit, what you just did is why I need to talk to both of you." Bob and Jackie shared a quick, questioning look. "No, no. It's nothing bad. In fact, it's too good! No, wait. I'm not doing this right." Vicky closed her eyes for a moment to gather her thoughts. "I think this'll go easier if I start over." "You know how our relationship started with the challenge?" They both nodded. "And that I have been doing similar things for many years?" Again the couple agreed. "Well, before I met the two of you, while I had had good fucking sessions many times, there was only once that I remember actually enjoying it as more than just a fuck." Vicky paused for a moment, then went on. "It was almost eight years ago. One of the early dares, in fact I'm sure it was the first one, was when Ronnie dared me to secretly swap husbands for a night. Reggie and I were at Ronnie and Sean's house. We'd all had quite a bit to drink, not that it's an excuse, but to explain how it was possible. Since Sean was much younger than Reggie and I hadn't really been satisfied by my husband, it seemed, in my inebriated state, that this was a wonderful idea. I really enjoyed myself that night, and came out of the affair thinking that Ronnie had certainly gotten the better of the deal at the altar." "At least, that's what I thought until today, when I found out that it wasn't Sean that I was in bed with that night. It was Ronnie's younger brother Richard." Vicky stared at her hands. "I've been thinking about Richie all afternoon." "Do you know where he is and what he's doing?" Jackie asked. "Yes and no. I know he went to Yale Law School and joined a practice in Boston a couple years ago, but not much more. I didn't think I should pump Ronnie this afternoon." "Because despite this afternoon," Bob offered, "Ronnie isn't really your friend anymore, right?" Vicky nodded, "Yes. And there's more. Ronnie says Richie was a virgin that night. She almost seemed too eager to get more details after I had let on that I considered the man I slept with that night to be a good lover." "And now?" Jackie offered. Vicky took deep breath, then let it out and smiled. "And now that I've told you about it, I realize I was trying to capture a moment out of my past that's long gone. It's you, you know." "What do you mean it's us," said Bob. "You've given me something I believe I've been searching for since that night with Richie. Something more than just the sex I've been finding. And I love you both very much for that." Vicky smiled and turned back to the cold cuts. Jackie and Bob looked at each other for a moment, smiled, and then went back to drinking their coffee. --------------------------------------------------------------- "I can't believe it! Did the saleswoman tell you?" It was Christmas morning and Vicky had just opened a box that contained the same exact style of teddy she had gotten Jackie, only in red. "It's my psychic nature," Jackie laughed. "I felt the vibes as soon as I entered the store!" "Yeah, right," Vicky rejoined, chuckling. "And I think, as a present to me, you should both put them on right now!" Bob leered. They were all laughing and joking about it when the doorbell rang. "Now, who in the world could that be?" Bob asked. The others just shook their heads, puzzled. He went to the door and this time saw a young, casually dressed man carrying a small package. "Yes, may I help you?" Bob asked. "I have a package for a miss... " he looked at a note in his hand, ".. Victoria Anderson from Sean McMasters." By this time the two woman were also in the foyer. Vicky looked out the peephole. "Oh my god! Richie?" She opened the door. "Richie, what are you doing here?" Richie stared at Vicky for a moment. "Victoria? Victoria Hawes?" "Yes, yes, come in, please." Vicky practically pulled the non-plussed young man into the house and on into the family room while Jackie and Bob tagged along. "My, my, the years have certainly been kind to you, kid!" Vicky smiled. "Uh, you're not doing so badly yourself," Richie mumbled, actually blushing. "And could you please not call me 'kid?'" he pleaded. "I may be five years younger than you, but I'm getting close to 30 for god's sake." "Oh, come on. You've got another 2 years before you hit the big three oh. Besides, enjoy it while you can," Vicky teased. "And by the way, just what brings you out here into the wilds of suburbia on Christmas morning?" "My sister, of course," Richie grimaced. "About an hour ago she came up to me all frazzled looking and told me I had to bail her out, that she'd forgotten to get a present to an important client of Sean's. Are you the only Victoria here?" Vicky immediately blushed and introduced the Bellmans as her closest friends and explained that she met them as Victoria Anderson originally. "It's too long a story to get into right now. Anyway, so for some reason Rhonda sent you out here with a package for me, huh?" "That's about the size of it," Richie said, "although I can't for the life of me figure out why she didn't just tell me it was you." Vicky grimaced. "I bet I know. And it's just like her, too. Richie, before I open the package..." Jackie interrupted, "..why don't I get you something to drink?" trying to catch Vicky's eye. "Please, do you have coffee?" Richie asked. "It was a rather longer drive than Rhonda said it would be. And I need to freshen up a little, too." Bob chimed in, "Top of the stairs, the door straight ahead of you." "Thanks." Richie wandered off. Once he was upstairs, Vicky turned and hissed at Jackie, "What was that all about?" "Vicky, what do you think is going to happen here?" "I think the package is something meant to embarress Richie and me over the night I spent with him." "I'm sure you're right. You were going to tell him you knew, weren't you." "Of course, to give him some advance warning!" "Don't. Think about it. Rhonda got you the gift knowing that you knew and Richie didn't. She probably assumed you would tell him once you figured things out. So either the package is designed with that in mind, or it isn't what you think it is so that you would spill the beans for no reason. Either way, it hinges on your knowing and telling. What if you act like you didn't know?" "What?" "Jackie's right. If you treat it as if you didn't know, Richie gets to keep his secret. And believe me, if he has never told you about it, then he wants it kept a secret." "How about it?" Jackie prodded. "Can you do it? We think it'll work out better in the long run." Bob nodded his agreement. Vicky took a deep breath, released it, and looked back and forth between her two friends. "You really do care, don't you?" "Of course!" they echoed. They all smiled as they heard the toilet flush. Vicky nodded her agreement as Richie came down the stairs. --------------------------------------------------------------- "Thanks for the coffee." Richie was getting up and starting to move out of the kitchen. "Mr. Billings," Bob said, "do you have to rush off? We have plenty of food for dinner." "Yes, cooking for three is awkward," added Jackie. "We always have leftovers." "Well... " Richie seemed to hesitate and looked at Vicky. "Frankly, uh, you know what Christmas is like at our house." "Absolutely," Vicky said. "Uncomfortable is the kindest thing I can say about it. How about if you call Rhonda and tell her I'm kidnapping you for the day. You've opened presents already, haven't you?" "Yes, 7am sharp. Ronnie demands it." "Then call her and see what she says." Richie took out his cell phone and got Rhonda almost immediately. "Hey sis, you didn't tell me the package was for your friend Victoria Hawes." "I thought it would be a nice Christmas surprise for you, Richie. I know you haven't seen each other for years." Rhonda could tell from the tone of her brother's voice that the package hadn't been opened yet. "You've given her the package, haven't you?" "Yes, I have, although she hasn't opened it yet. But that's not why I called. The... " Richie looked up and Vicky mouthed 'Bellmans.' "The Bellmans have invited me to stay for dinner. I would like to accept and catch up on old times with Victoria." 'Hmmm,' Rhonda thought. 'Then he'd be there for the package opening for sure.' Aloud she said, "Well, with Sean not here, I was thinking of doing something different myself. Go ahead. If your plans change, just call my cell." "Okay, sis, have a good day." Richie punched off and slipped his cell phone back in his pocket. "Well, she didn't seem too upset with me staying. You know, she's been acting weird since I got here from Boston two days ago. I catch her looking at me every now and then with a funny look on her face. I don't get it." Vicky, remembering what Jackie and Bob had said, held back a moment of panic. "Well, Richie, maybe being without Sean this Christmas has affected her. It took me a while to warm her up to shopping last week." Richie looked at her kind of funny. "Yeah, sure, that's probably it. Well, anyway, now what?" Bob pointed to the family room. "You brought a package, it's Christmas morning, let's open it!" Again Vicky had to fight to keep from panicking. On their way into the room, Jackie managed to hug her from behind and whisper, "Remember, no matter what, we're here for you, and we're proud of you." Vicky took another deep breath and decided she would make sure the Bellmans stayed proud of her. Richie handed her the package and they all sat down. Vicky put on a smile and said, "Here goes!" and started ripping off the paper. When she opened the box, she pulled out an envelope and... a bottle of baby lotion!? Vicky was genuinely surprised for a moment, as were they all. "Uh, Richie, I know I'm not pregnant, and I'm sure I didn't tell Ronnie I was. Did she say anything to you?" Richie was just as mystified. "Frankly, and I know she's been your friend for years so I apologize for saying this... but frankly, I don't really like or understand my sister sometimes, and this is one of them." Meanwhile, Jackie leaned over and whispered something to Bob, and he nodded and whispered back. Their eyes met, and a quick nod showed they were in agreement. Jackie spoke up. "Vicky, maybe there's another reason for the lotion. Why don't you read what's in the envelope?" And then Jackie mentally crossed her fingers and hoped Vicky could still keep the secret. Vicky looked up and saw both Jackie and Bob staring intently at her. Suddenly she figured it out, too, and realized they were trying to remind her not to give things away. Outwardly she put a smile on her face and shrugged. "Sure. Maybe she's not completely around the bend." Inside was a note that Vicky quickly glanced over. She blushed, but gladly noted that it wasn't explicitly worded. Maybe this would work! "I think I see where she's going with this, and it's rather risque. Richie, I know you don't want me to treat you like a kid but I have to ask you. Are you sure you want to hear what your sister wrote?" "Damn right I do," Richie said, now determined to find out what this was all about. "Well, okay, if you say so. Of course," she said, nodding to the Bellmans, "I'm assuming you want to hear this as well." "Damn right we do," echoed Bob, smiling at Richie while Jackie was looking at Vicky with a pleased expression on her face. "Here goes. 'Merry Christmas Vicky. It took me quite a while to figure out the perfect gift, but after our shopping trip I was able to go over our chat together and come up with something that might further your sexual endeavors. We were speaking of virginity... '" Suddenly the blood drained out of Richie's face, which Jackie noted. She quickly broke in. "Vicky! You told her about Bob and I being virgins when we were married!" Vicky played right along, glad that Jackie had picked up the cue so well. "Jackie, she's my oldest friend and she has this way of getting... details... out of me. I'm not really sorry, though, because I think it's great!" Meanwhile Richie had regained his composure, and once he realized fully what was being said he blushed. Vicky saw it and started relishing what she was doing. "So, should I go on? I must warn you, it gets worse!" "By all means," Bob insisted. "You must, you must!" "Ahem! 'We were speaking of virginity, and it suddenly occurred to me that, knowing you, you still have yours.'" "What? Now I know my sister's crazy! She knows full well you aren't a virgin!" Richie blurted. "Oh?" Vicky smirked. "Why, did she tell you?" Richie suddenly realized what he had said and quickly tried to back off. "Well, not in so many words... but you were married, for goodness sake!" "I was, wasn't I?" Vicky snickered. "But that's not what she's talking about. Could you let me finish, please?" Richie mumbled, "Sorry, please continue." "Okay. '..knowing you, you still have yours. I figured turnabout's fair play, so how about slathering up your ass and letting him take it. Fondly yours, Rhonda.' Well, Bob, that's about as blatant as it gets. What do you think?" Richie, upon hearing the last words of the note again went pale, but once he heard Vicky's comment immediately became shocked. "Vicky! Are you asking what I think you're asking?" Vicky turned to him and laughed. "Oh, Richie, don't get so serious. It's just a joke of your sister's. Frankly, I'm surprised she thought of it. It's a little bit of a reach, but it works." Jackie and Bob joined Vicky in laughing and finally, a little nervously, so did Richie. ------------------------------------------------------------ Richie found himself having a good time with Vicky and the Bellmans. The atmosphere was a joyous one, with everyone getting into the spirit of the day. Whenever he started backing off, Vicky would make a quip about the 'kid' not being able to take it and he would respond by getting right back into the thick of things. He realized as the day went on that he was even enjoying the quips, and when he thought about it decided it was because there was no meanness in it. In fact, Vicky seemed to look rather fondly at him. Maybe... No, thinking that way was useless. She was too good for him and she would never see him 'that way.' At least he had the memories of that night... It was at the dinner table when he had a moment to reflect that he started to think about the Bellmans. What was Vicky doing here in the first place? She acted as though she lived here, and the looks that passed among the three of them... "Oh my god!" Richie dropped his fork with a startled look. "Richie, what is it, are you all right?" Vicky said, wondering if he'd dropped food in his pants or something. "Uh, yeah, sure... maybe. Then again, maybe not." Richie buried his face in his hands. Everyone else stared at him for several moments, as he just sat there. Finally he sighed, sat up and said, "Vicky, I'm sorry, but I have to know. Are you and Mr. Bellman lovers?" Vicky stared at him a while, then answered, "Yes, and so are Jackie and I." "This, this isn't like the others, is it." It was a statement. Softly, Vicky replied, "No, it isn't. Actually, I take that back. There was once, many years ago when it was almost like this, but that one couldn't be more than a one night stand." Richie looked at her, surprised, and wondered 'could it be?' "Why not?" "Because it was the night I swapped partners with your sister." "THE night? It only happened once?" "Yes." Richie sat there, stunned, while Vicky waited... and hoped. Bob and Jackie were sitting as quietly as possible, trying to disappear into the furniture so as not to intrude into the moment. They, too, were hoping. 'Damn!' Richie thought, 'Do I tell her? And if I do, will she believe me? And if she believes me, will she laugh at me or...' Bob thought 'this is taking too long, he's thinking too much.' "Richie, Vicky told us about that night. She said it was at your sister's house. Were you there?" "Yes," came the barely audible reply. "I remember you looking kind of funny when Vicky said something about Rhonda missing Sean. Is that because there's something about Sean Vicky doesn't know?" "Yes." "What is it?" "He's, he's gay." "I see, so what are the possibilities that he would have been in bed with Vicky that night." "None." "Who else was in the house that night besides you, Vicky, Rhonda, Sean and Reggie?" "No one," was the whispered reply. "I'm sorry, did you say no one?" "Yes." A little stronger, almost defiantly. "So, as I see it, the only MAN in the house that night that could possibly have given Vicky the best loving of her life, the rapture that she has been looking to find again all these years, is you." Richie looked up at Bob, and saw him smiling at him. Jackie also gave him an encouraging smile and a thumbs up as Vicky came over beside him and said, "Rich, please stand up and hold me." He looked deep into her eyes and finally saw what he had hoped for. Moving his lips to hers the kiss was all he had remembered and more. The only woman he had ever loved, and made love to, cared for him! Vicky was ecstatic. This is what she thought she'd never find again! It was as if the years between that night and this were gone in a blink. Jackie and Bob quietly left the room, smiling, and headed upstairs to bed. They didn't expect Vicky to join them and they were very happy about it. --------------------------------------------------- The next morning Jackie was quietly making pancakes when Vicky wandered rather stiffly in from the family room. "I see you managed to take the time to open up the sofa bed." A dreamy smile came to Vicky's face. "He's so thoughtful. That was the first thing he did." Jackie raised an eyebrow. "The FIRST thing?" "Well," temporized Vicky, "almost." "Okay, what was the first thing, as if I didn't know," Jackie smirked. Vicky blushed, "Well, um, we opened up my Christmas gift from Ronnie..." "And?" "And, well, in the interest of fair play....
