That's largely because I have been spending a lot of time caring for a very sick parent who is probably terminally ill and lives in a distant city. My father is over 80 years old. He's had a good life, but I'm afraid he is slowly fading away. It's not a lot of fun -- although I truly cherish the time we are able to spend together. The time spent traveling 250 miles each way on weekends has seriously disrupted my efforts to do some of the things I'd like to do with my Reviews. At the same time, these stories and these reviews have been a valuable source of rest and recreation for me. I have read more stories than I have had time to review, but that's just the way it's going to have to be for a while. Please don't feel that you are oppressing me if you continue to send me your stories. If you send me good ones, you are doing me a favor. Really! If your stories seem to get lost in the complexity of my life, just send them again after some time passes. If you are a person who believes in praying or remembering people in your thoughts -- and I suspect there are more people who fit that description on this newsgroup than there are on some of the "religious" groups -- I'd appreciate being kept in your thoughts and prayers. Life is fun, but it's also difficult; and the two are not necessarily incompatible. THIS WEEK'S JOKE: At a medical convention, a male doctor and a female doctor start eyeing each other. The male doctor asks her to dinner, and she accepts. As they sit down at the restaurant, she excuses herself to go and wash her hands. After dinner, one thing leads to another and they end up in her hotel bedroom. Just as things get hot, the female doc interrupts and says she has to go and wash her hands. Once she comes back they go for it. After the sex session, she gets up and says she is going to wash her hands. As she comes back the male doctor says, "I bet you are a surgeon." She confirms and asks how he knew. "Easy, you're always washing your hands." "That's very clever," she says; "I bet you're an anesthesiologist". "Wow, how did you guess?" "I didn't feel a thing." ===================== Celestial Reviews Index: ===================== "Private Halloween Party" by artie (Halloween sex) 10, 10, 10 http://www.asstr-mirror.org/files/Authors/artie/www/hpv03.html "Hold That Thought" by Uther Pendragon (romance) 10, 10, 10 "The Golden Touch" by Vickie Morgan (mythology and sex) 10, 10, 10 http://members.tripod.com/VickieMorgan/golden.htm "Tent Peg" by One Gallus (literary sex) 9, 9, 9 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27244 "The Fitting" by Jo G (chastity belt) 9.5, 8, 5 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27279 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27280 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27281 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27282 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27283 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27284 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27285 "Does This Dress Look OK, Honey?" by Jeff Zephyr (romantic quickie) 10, 10, 10 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27455 "Surprise" by Jeannie Duncan Duncan (revenge with a twist) 9.5, 9.5, 9.5 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27376 "A Model Payback" by DrSpin (exhibitionism & revenge) 10, 10, 9 http://www.asstr-mirror.org/files/Authors/DrSpin/www/A_Model_Payback.html "Cherry Blossoms" by Desdmona (coming-out orgy) 10, 10, 10 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27382 "Stargazing" by Spline Duck (sexual reminiscences) 10, 10, 10 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27387 "The Process of Inspiration -- Part Deux" by Redman (sex and writing) 10, 10, 10 http://www.asstr-mirror.org/files/Authors/Redman/The%20Process%20of%20Inspiration%20%2 0Part%20Deux.txt "Can I Watch?" by Tiramisu (voyeurism & masturbation) 10, 8, 9 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27341 "Two Hours" by Tiramisu (bondage) 10, 9, 9 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27342 "Waiting" by Tiramisu (sexual anticipation) 10, 10, 10 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27321 "It's Almost Like She Planned It" by Poison Ivan (rough sex) 10, 9, 9 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27354 "Not Again" by Poison Ivan (rough sex) 10, 9, 9 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27358 "Jenna and Patsy" by Poison Ivan (FF sex & voyeurism) 10, 10, 10 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27325 "Cops and Robbers" by Uther Pendragon (accidental voyeurism) 10, 10, 10 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27330 "Afternoon Delight" by John A (afternoon delight) 10, 10, 10 http://www.asstr-mirror.org/files/Authors/JohnA/www/afternoon.htm "Cassie's Lips" by Spline Duck (sexual connections) 10, 10, 10 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27329 "Jen" by Jack of All Trades (lost love) 10, 10, 10 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27356 "Quickie" by Jane Urquhart (quickie) 10, 10, 10 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27360 "The Psychology of Arousal" by Redman (controlling passions) 10, 10, 10 http://www.asstr-mirror.org/files/Authors/Redman/The%20Psychology%20of%20Arousal.txt "The Belfast Crab" by Sven the Elder (eating out) 10, 10, 10 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27320 ===================== Here are the Reviews: ===================== "Private Halloween Party" by artie (artie@netgate.net). http://www.asstr-mirror.org/files/Authors/artie/www/hpv03.html Although I cannot speak from direct experience, I suspect that almost every post-pubescent male has thought along these lines as the ideal response to the plaintive "trick or treat" petition on Halloween. A mysterious woman -- perhaps one wearing a burgundy velvet dress with a scooped neck, transitioning into a long velvet skirt, her skin pale pink, her lips full, the lush rich brown of her hair contrasting with the sparkling green of her eyes -- replies "treat" and then takes the young man to a secluded place to supply that treat. Later, of course, she is wearing nothing but an impish smile. Beats the heck out of one more Butterfinger Bar. Ratings for "Private Halloween Party" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "Hold That Thought" by Uther Pendragon (anon584c@nyx.net). Whenever I read a really good but really short story, I am tempted to give it less than perfect ratings. My underlying reasoning, I suppose, is that had the author written a little more, then the story would be even better; and since the author has not made it a little better, the story must be imperfect; ergo.... This is silly, of course. If the story does everything the story is supposed to do, then it is an excellent story. So I'll just tell you that this is an excellent story. The remaining problem is that it is difficult to say anything about a really short story that isn't longer than the story itself and without giving the whole story away. So I'll just tell you that the man and woman are making love on Halloween night when the baby monitor informs them that the woman's daughter needs assistance. "Hold that thought...." Ratings for "Hold That Thought" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "The Golden Touch" by Vickie Morgan (artemis55@hotmail.com). http://members.tripod.com/VickieMorgan/golden.htm One of the problems with magic is that its rules are ill defined. I recall, when I was much younger, overhearing some teenage boys discussing King Midas. The discussion was gross. "What if he touched himself? Would he turn to gold?" "Of course not. You're touching yourself, even when you're not touching yourself." "How about his shit? Would he shit golden crap?" "Well, I guess so?" "But if he didn't -- if the crap stayed crap -- would the water in the toilet bowl turn to gold?" The present story deals with the more post-pubescent problem of what King Midas would have done for sex. The Young Philosopher whom I quoted above would suggest that the King could jerk off without turning his tool to gold; but the problem remains that his partner would turn to gold -- and thus lose value in one sense, while gaining in another. In the story, the prostitute is charged with the task of giving pleasure to King Midas, while trying to maintain her continued (non-goldenized) existence. This is an interesting idea. Ariadne approaches the problem one way in this story. I suspect there are many other possibilities; and if I were a contest-announcing person, I would challenge other authors to explore this problem. Ratings for "The Golden Touch" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "Tent Peg" by One Gallus (onegallus@yahoo.com). http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27244 There have been many variations on the story-within-a-story theme. In the present case, Jon writes a story and then reads it (for feedback, of course) to a Peg on the phone, who happens to be naked in the bath tub at the time. This enables you (the reader) to get a double nasty from the story; and presumably the author himself can get a triple nasty, by imagining our reaction while we read his rendition. The story is replete with other details that make it unique. For example, John and Peg have known each other since childhood, when she gave him some sisterly advice about sex. All in all, this story is a very nice combination of voyeurism, phone sex, and real sex. Ratings for "Tent Peg" Athena (technical quality): 9 Venus (plot & character): 9 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 9 "The Fitting" by Jo G (joggermcc@my-deja.com). http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27279 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27280 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27281 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27282 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27283 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27284 http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27285 For Miranda the ultimate experience is to be as close as possible to release but never actually to achieve it. To accomplish this, she and her boyfriend decide to acquire for her a chastity appliance. I know little about these garments, except for the joke that ends with Sir Galahad being the only Knight of the Round Table not to have his dick shortened after exposure to Bait wrapped in a chastity belt. {The punch line is that Sir G seems to have lost his ability to speak. You can look it up.} The present story goes into elaborate detail in its description of a woman being fitted for her third-millenium chastity garment. For example, the first phase of the measurement and fitting process starts with an interview to find the individual's commitment to going through with the acquisition, to be satisfied that the individual's fantasy needs are being met by the appliance being requested, to verify that one person is not being unduly pressured by the other to do something she is not entering into of her own free will, and to check that the recipient is properly prepared for the effects of using the appliance. And so on for all the other steps. I honestly don't know whether mechanisms like those described here really exist or if anyone seriously wants to use them in real life. I docked the story a couple of points for "plot and character," because although the plot was coherent, the author failed to convince me that anyone would indeed act this way. The whole notion sounds silly to me. This story read like a carefully detailed, elaborate hoax. I suspect it will appeal most to male readers who think this sort of fantasy is common among females. Ratings for "The Fitting" Athena (technical quality): 9.5 Venus (plot & character): 8 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 5 "Does This Dress Look OK, Honey?" by Jeff Zephyr (jeffzeph@hotmail.com). http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27455 As this story suggests, the only proper answer to the title question is evasion. As in, "Honey, you know I don't understand things like that. Besides, I'm more interested in what's under the dress, which looks great to me." In this case evasive flattery is productive, and the man gets a quickie to keep his mind from wandering to cute young things at the party they will be attending. I strongly recommend the pre-party quickie as an effective way to keep one's lover's interest from wandering during the party. I have not reviewed any stories by this author before; but if this is an indication of things to come, I hope to see more. Ratings for "Does This Dress Look OK, Honey?" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "Surprise" by Jeannie Duncan Note: This story was posted by Jack Duncan but author seems to be Jeannie Duncan (JandJ). http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27376 The woman is accosted by a man who wants her help in getting even with his wife, who he says has been having an affair with her husband. The joke's on him, because he has a wife; but she has no husband. There are some nice twists in this very short story. Ratings for "Surprise" Athena (technical quality): 9.5 Venus (plot & character): 9.5 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 9.5 "A Model Payback" by DrSpin http://www.asstr-mirror.org/files/Authors/DrSpin/www/A_Model_Payback.html This starts as a voyeuristic fling. The wife agrees to fill in at her husband's Camera Club, after the previous model quit in high dudgeon (see below). Midway through the story, there is an abrupt shift in plot, and it becomes a slut-wife, revenge, or husband-humiliation story. I found the first part highly erotic, and the second much less stimulating. I think the wife should have simply thrown the bastard in a low dungeon (see below). Ratings for "A Model Payback" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 9 "Cherry Blossoms" by Desdmona http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27382 Like many young women, Cherry grew up in a brothel, where her mother worked hard to maintain her daughter's purity until she turned sixteen and -- well -- blossomed. As Mr. Rogers would say on his TV show: "Everybody's special, everybody's fine. Your body's fancy, and so is mine." The story is a veritable cornucopia of sexual euphemisms and metaphors. The story concludes with a nice tie-in to the A.S.S.M. anniversary celebration. And I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the folks at A.S.S.M. and the associated archives for supplying a truly valuable service. With all the noise on regular newsgroups, it's great to have a place where we can be sure that the stories posted in this newsgroup are at least stories. And the Anniversary has been a truly gala event. I have had time to review only a few of the Anniversary Stories; but I cannot remember when I have seen so many stories of invariably high quality published in such rapid succession. Congratulations to the gang at A.S.S.M. and to the authors who wrote the stories! By the way, links for all the ASSM anniversary stories (Flash or Party) can be found on the "ASSM Anniversary Site" at http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/anniversary/ Ratings for "Cherry Blossoms" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "Stargazing" by Spline Duck http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27387 This is a really sexy FF story. The author nicely combines current events with reminiscences about the past to achieve a really sensuous impact. The basic plot centers around two friends lying outside and watching the stars, while they playact their old times together -- the times of their youth when they explored their emerging sexuality together. This very nice setup is followed by some even nicer twists. Ratings for "Stargazing" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "The Process of Inspiration -- Part Deux" by Redman (redman@seductive.com). http://www.asstr-mirror.org/files/Authors/Redman/The%20Process%20of%20Inspiration%20%20Part%20Deux.txt Part One can be found at http://www.asstr-mirror.org/files/Authors/Redman/The%20Process%20of%20Inspiration.txt Having watched "The Naked Gun," I knew that if there is a Part Deux there must be a Part One somewhere else. I enjoyed this story so thoroughly that I went to the Deja search engine and looked around and found Part One. The first part was much shorter, but equally delightful. It describes the beneficial effects of reading a good sex story. That is, the reader gets inspired and shares his erotic urges with his lover. The present story, on the other hand, is much longer and describes how the author gets inspired by a real-life experience to write a story, which he shares with his lover and then with us. It's a good story about spontaneous sex with a stranger -- the sort of thing that I would never do in real life; but I think my husband will enjoy sharing the inspiration with me as soon as I finish this review. Ratings for "The Process of Inspiration -- Part Deux" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "Can I Watch?" by Tiramisu http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27341 This author has posted several stories as part of the Anniversary Flash project. It's challenging to write stories that fit under the 500-word limit, and it's also difficult to rate them. In the past I have often given low ratings to extremely short stories because they weren't really complete -- just snippets that could be combined into a "real" story. I've revised that approach; and now I try to base my judgment on what the author is trying to do. If the author is writing something that's short but complete, then it deserves high ratings. This story about getting turned on by watching someone masturbate in bed next to the observer is not quite complete. In other words, I think the 500-word limitation constricted the story and made it somewhat weaker than would have been possible with a couple hundred more words. But it's still a nice little story. Ratings for "Can I Watch?" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 8 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 9 "Two Hours" by Tiramisu http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27342 This is another of the author's contributions to the Anniversary Flash project. The title refers to the fact that the wife is going to bind and tease the husband for two hours. When the alarm clock goes off at the end of two hours, so will the husband. Like the previous story, this one needs a little more development to be perfect. But it's still a nice little story. Ratings for "Two Hours" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 9 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 9 "Waiting" by Tiramisu http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27321 This is a story about anticipation. I'm not going to tell you what the woman is waiting for. That's because, as the title suggests, I'm trying to build your anticipation. The author develops the sexual expectancy very nicely. Ratings for "Waiting" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "It's Almost Like She Planned It" by Poison Ivan http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27354 Ivan has posted a series of these short segments as part of the Anniversary Flash project. The fragments give us hints about the life and activities of a sexually abused woman named Patsy, whom Johnny loves and would like to save from her abusive lover. At least that's what I THINK the whole story would be about. This segment is pretty good. I think if there were a huge number of segments as good as these, they could be united into a truly outstanding story. Ratings for "It's Almost Like She Planned It" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 9 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 9 "Not Again" by Poison Ivan http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27358 This is another of the segments that Ivan has posted as part of the Anniversary Flash project. Again, this segment is good. If properly combined and integrated, this could become a truly outstanding story. Ratings for "Not Again" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 9 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 9 "Jenna and Patsy" by Poison Ivan http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27325 Of the several segments that Ivan has posted as part of the Anniversary Flash project, this one stands best alone. Like the other segments, this one contains valid psychological and emotional insights combined with vivid and sexy activities. If properly combined and integrated, these segments could become a truly outstanding story. My theory is that if I say that often enough, the author will take the hint. Ratings for "Not Again" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "Cops and Robbers" by Uther Pendragon http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27330 Here we have a tale of accidental voyeurism. While we witness unexpected events in clever juxtaposition, their precise meaning is ambiguous, and most of the fun is in the revelation of what is really happening. So I'll be damned if I'm going to ruin this excellent little story by telling you any more. Ratings for "Cops and Robbers" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "Afternoon Delight" by John A http://www.asstr-mirror.org/files/Authors/JohnA/www/afternoon.htm Back in the 1970s, during my early married life, I had never heard the phrase "afternoon delight," although I had enthusiastically participated in that activity. However, when the song hit the radio waves, I immediately fell in love with it. So I went to look up the words to that song on the Internet. What I found ruined my faith in human nature. The Number One Hit from my search engine was a connection to a fishing outfitter in Florida! I read every word on the web site carefully. There's not even a remote innuendo or a cross-reference to a Chevy Van. What kind of people are these? When these people hold a rod, that's just what they are doing -- holding onto a fishing pole until they can stick it {with no pun intended} into a more suitable place. I couldn't believe it! I suspect their "Hot horny teens" are young people experiencing discomfort from the temperature while practicing with their trombones below deck. No wonder they can't count their votes right in Florida! These people chase fish instead of pussy and call it "Afternoon Delight." The Apocalypse is fast approaching. My search engine's second hit on "Afternoon Delight" took me to a used music site! I could purchase the soundtrack to "Lion King," and that wasn't a misspelling of "Loin King." When they talked about playing their instruments, that's just what they meant. No innuendo. Did the devil design this page? When these people took me to Virgin Records, there were no trains to pull or deflowerment rituals. Weird! The third reference was to Rosie O'Donnell -- the afternoon talk show host. Rosie is a fine lady, but she's genuinely G-rated. Where's the innuendo? The fourth hit was to a site that discussed "The Afternoon Delight of High Tea" in Victoria, British Columbia. Is this for real? There are senators and PTA mothers who are seriously upset about Sex on the Internet, and I'm getting "The Afternoon Delight of High Tea" as an example of "Afternoon Delight"! My next hit took me to a Disney Fine Art Page, where I think I saw a picture of a cup of coffee next to a piece of pie. Now, I can use almost all those nouns -- cup, as in D cup -- next, as in next! -- piece, as in piece of ass -- and pie as in reference to the enticing but often hairy portion of the female anatomy that some men like for dessert; but this picture was distinctly non-sexy. In fact, it was probably vanilla cream pie. Finally, sixth on my hit list was "Afternoon Delight," an online boutique from Prince Edward Island, Canada, where "Good Vibrations" refers to something one does with a dildo, "fishnet" refers to lingerie instead of what those Floridians were raving about, a baby doll is not a toy for children (unless their uncle is in heat), the G-string is not part of the E-G-B-D-F sequence, and jelly butt plugs come in several sizes. "Afternoon Delight!" Once the floodgate was opened, I did all right. I even found a site that had what I was looking for: Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight Gonna grab some Afternoon Delight My motto's always been when it's right, it's right Why wait till the middle of a cold, dark night When everything's a little clearer in the light of day And we know that night is gonna be here anyway Anyway, this is an excellent story, tangentially related to some of what I have written here. The lovers are aware of some danger in the midst of their post-meridian passion, but the exact nature of that danger becomes obvious only at the end of the story. And I'm pretty sure I conceived at least one child with the help of the Starland Vocal Band. Skyrockets in flight Afternoon Delight Afternoon Delight Afternoon Delight There, I've done it. I have written a review that's longer than the story. Ratings "Afternoon Delight" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "Cassie's Lips" by Spline Duck http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27329 This is a very, very short but complete story. It's an epiphany of sorts. The story leaves a lot to the imagination. Imagine that. Ratings "Cassie's Lips" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "Jen" by Jack of All Trades http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27356 Young love begins, climaxes, and ends. Then the lovers meet later in life. Unlike some of the very short stories that I have criticized for being incomplete, this one is precisely as long as it should be. It leaves a lot unsaid; but it should. Ratings for "Jen" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "Quickie" by Jane Urquhart http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27360 This story is sort of an allegory of my sex life. The story is short, but it would have to be longer to tell the story properly. Likewise, quickies are great; but they become great in the context of real sex, which often takes a lifetime. Ratings for "Quickie" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "The Psychology of Arousal" by Redman http://www.asstr-mirror.org/files/Authors/Redman/The%20Psychology%20of%20Arousal.txt I haven't known Redman until recently. I assume that's because he didn't exist -- he just sprang full-grown from the head of Zeus or perhaps Venus and has begun writing really good stories. This one is a sort of essay/story that deals with the philosophical question, first introduced by Socrates, I think, in a suppressed dialogue with Xantippe: "Do all men just want to have sex with children?" He discusses the issue in the context of the modern vestal virgins playing innocently nearby. This story deserves its high ratings, if for no other reason than that it contains this passage: So I raise my hand to my nose, catching the faint, lingering scent of my wife's arousal. It's her way of marking my boundaries. Whenever we go into a crowd with women, she marks my hands. At the end of the day, if she detects another woman's scent on my fingers... Well, some things I don't want to consider. Ratings for "The Psychology of Arousal" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 "The Belfast Crab" by Sven the Elder http://assm.asstr-mirror.org/Year2000/27320 This very short story is about a meal of sorts. At least eating occurs -- of sorts. The crab is a metaphor -- of sorts. Ratings for "The Belfast Crab" Athena (technical quality): 10 Venus (plot & character): 10 Celeste (appeal to reviewer): 10 CELESTIAL WORD STUDY: DUDGEON/DUNGEON A DUNGEON is a strong, usually gloomy cell, as in a medieval castle. DUDGEON is a fancy word for anger or indignation. The only time I can remember hearing DUDGEON is in the phrase "in high dudgeon," which means "really pissed off." A "high dungeon" would be rare, since DUNGEONS are usually in the basement, often equipped with torture and bondage equipment. -- Pursuant to the Berne Convention, this work is copyright with all rights reserved by its author unless explicitly indicated. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | alt.sex.stories.moderated ----- send stories to: | | FAQ: Moderator: | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Archive: Hosted by Alt.Sex.Stories Text Repository | |, an entity supported entirely by donations. | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+
