As has been pointed out to me, the only advertisers that will support a sex site are "adult" ones, meaning tits and twats, or maybe a sedate introduction service ad if you're lucky. This is too bad, but echoing a pattern that has been occurring in porn media for the last two decades. It is even infiltrating free media as well. In the city I live in, there are several "alternative" newspapers (many with more intelligent reporting than the Times and Herald) that include several pages of phone sex, ads, personals, masseuse and escort three-liners, and ads for tattoo and body piercing parlors that would make Annie Sprinkle blush. Chalk it all up to capitalism and a consumer economy. I'd think that advertisers should realize that people who peruse porn sites must drive cars, take business trips, and buy computer software too, but no go. Perhaps one day my site will be balls- against-the-wall and in search of a sponsor, and I will have to cross this bridge when I come to it. The stories: Phone Calls, by Mr. Maquido (Phone sex) Jill Becomes a Slut, by Jim Slice (M/F, nc bond, mc) Natasha and the Android, by Nikos Rovani (M/F spy spoof humor) The Fence, by Jordan Shelbourne (M/M, cons.) Tempest, by Emerson Laken-Palmer (M/f, inc) Website Review: Hawk Richards Phone Calls [B] When posted: 2/17/98 Where posted: ASS, ASSM Author: Mr. Maquido Address: maquido@hotmail.com This story, which is purportedly true, takes the form of a transcript of various phone calls, recreated from memory, between the narrator and the wife of his neighbor. The wife is concerned about obscene phone calls and asks that the narrator call her every day to check up on her while her husband's away. The calls soon become sexual and the two wind up masturbating and exchanging talk of the "What are you wearing" and "Touch them. Tell me what it feels like" variety. The writing in this story wasn't bad, but compared to other stories out there that feature sexy phone calls and phone sex, it just wasn't that interesting, and the author seems to realize it in his afterword: "This took a lot more space than I thought and maybe its boring, you had to have been there, does anybody what to see other calls?" My thought is, I'd rather see a story with more excitement and tension. Jill Becomes a Slut [A] When posted: 2/16/98 Where posted: ASS, ASSM Author: Jim Slice Address: SliceJ@mtc.mid.tec.sc.us This story had one of the bluntest yet most readable beginning hooks I've ever seen for net sex fiction: "Jill Hanson was just leaving the courtroom on the way back to her office when an overpowering lust overtook her. Her nipples became so hard that they hurt and her breasts swelled so much that she thought they might burst her bra. Her pussy lips engorged and became soaked with the juices overflowing her cunt and her clit stiffened until it was pushing against her panties. Her asshole twitched and spasmed and her asscheeks quivered. Her legs were trembling and became weak as she felt the throbbing deep in the pit of her stomach." After all that she's forced to go home sick, watched over by Vickie, a concerned colleague. After a mind-blowing orgasm that comes out of nowhere, both she and the colleague are kidnapped, coming to in the lair of a man Jill convicted for tax evasion a few years before. He's implanted a mind-control device in her--hence the reason for her odd behavior--and is going to turn her into his sex slave as revenge. He begins by forcing her to disrobe and then pluck out her pubic hairs with a tweezer (rule #793 of sex stories: all sex slaves are required by law to have depilitated pussies.) A novel element is introduced in the way the tweezer is conveyed to Jill: Master puts the tweezers in slave Becca's asshole, then slave Vicki removes them with her mouth, then slave Becca leads slave Vicki by her nipple leashes to new slave Jill, who is then forced to remove the tweezers from slave Vickie's mouth with a tongue-twirling kiss. I can't believe I just reiterated all that. Anyway, a nice combination of BDSM, mc, and slave stories, with more chapters promised. Natasha and the Android [A] When posted: 2/14/98 Where posted: ASS, ASSM Author: Nikos Rovani Address: reason2sin@innocent.com A female spy working for ORGASM (the ORGanization for American Special Missions) is surprised one day by an old nemesis, Vlad the Android. Having heard of her sexual prowress (she's made it with Dr. Anytime, Pussy Kumalot. and Glitterprick...hmm, forgot his henchman, the inscrutable dildo-flinging Handjob) the android ties her to the bed and asks her to initiate him into the mysteries of heterosex, as his creators forgot to give him a penis. He's since remedied that, with a suitcase full of phallic appendages and a special socket in his crotch to attach them to, and they waste no time in trying them all out. This was a dirty-talking humorous spoof with a light edge, and I liked it a lot. If it's a series, I'll be looking for more. The Fence [A] When posted: 2/16/98 Where posted: ASS, ASSM Author: Jordan Shelbourne Address: jordan@u36.com In this story, called "a little homoerotic piece" by the author, two men are building a fence in the yard, and they both have to work an auger--a bottle-opener-like device that digs deep holes for fence posts--together. The narrator is attracted to his friend, but doesn't dare speak it, especially after they see a woman in shorts and a sexy top walking by. The friend notices and comments, but the narrator only has eyes for him. That's it. This was a very sneaky short story. There wasn't any sex, but what about the symbolic resonance of the post-digging, then the hot buns and cold meat they eat for lunch? Tempest (Posted as "New Story") [A+] Author: Emerson Laken-Palmer When posted: 2/16/98 Where posted: ASS, ASSM Poster: Sxjames Poster Address: Sxjames@aol.com I'm not fond of incest fiction for a number of reasons, among them that incest usually screws up people's lives, and people's sex lives, in a major way years after the incidents have occurred...and for another, most of it isn't very well written. "Tempest," however, stands as a classic of its sort because of the way it manages to get inside the mind of its narrator and his feelings of attraction/repulsion towards what he does, and has been doing, with his 14-year-old daughter. His feelings of remorse stand unapologetically side-by-side with the fact he takes sexual pleasure from the abuse and sexual training of his daughter and the sexual and emotional fulfillment his daughter receives from it. A hard story to read and feel comfortable with, yet it "works" as well as the best-written erotica does...sketching the tangled contradictions within human sexuality with lucid, poetic clarity. Apparently the author, or the poster, felt the same way, for the story includes an afterword that provides us food for thought: "THE PURPOSE OF THIS STORY IS NOT TO TITILLATE OR PROMOTE SEXUAL ACTIVITY WITH OFFSPRING. THE PROBLEM OF INCEST IS REAL AND ENGAGEMENTS (LIKE THE ONE DESCRIBED ABOVE) TAKE PLACE, IN THIS COUNTRY, EVERY DAY. THINK ABOUT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TEMPIE AND HER FATHER AND HOW IT AFFECTS THEIR LIVES NOW AND WILL AFFECT THEM IN THE FUTURE." There's more. I think it's noteworthy that only on the newsgroups will you find disclaimers and lectures accompanying non-legitimitized pornography of this sort. Publishers certainly don't run them, not even legitimate ones. Website Review: Hawk Richards URL: http://members.aol.com/hawkrds Hawk Richards has been writing net erotic since 1994, he tells us; that's when his first story, "Touched by an Angel" appeared. Since then he's amassed a moderate body of work which he posted to the newsgroups during the summer of 1997 and now presents to us in this website. He is upfront about the reasons why he writes: "I think I started writing erotica to help strengthen my writing abilities. I have dreams of becoming a paper-published author someday. I could lie and say I was one already, but I don't think you would believe me. :-P (That's an ASCII representation of me sticking my tongue out at you). In addition, I find nothing wrong with writing about the act of sex. Erotica has been around for a long time because it is an art. Pornography is something completely different, but it too has been around for a very long time. I think the best answer would be why not? " My sentiments exactly. The website is an attractive one and easy to navigate around. It boasts, on the "adult warning" page that is becoming de rigeur for personal sites these days, an amazing techno/deconstructed/distressed logo created by Hawk himself that pushed the interface rating for this site from an A to an A+. On the inside, there are departments for two guest authors, auxiliary information connected to the site, and a large page of alphabetized links with a description next to each regarding their content and whether they're "up" or not, meaning Hawk inspected each one personally. This is very welcome considering many sites just dump lists of links on you without saying what they contain (And half of them don't work, either.) The stories vary in quality, which is understandable as Hawk has written them on the learning curve. They mainly deal with heterosex, encompassing lovers and dreamers, voyeurs, blackmailers, and prostitutes. The uniting factor among them is that they are at once ethereal yet very earthy, as if the realms of the body and the realms of spirit are trying to reconcile. The superb "Touched by an Angel" and "The Gray Hair Society" deal with sex and death (and ultimately transcendence) among the elderly, the former a man, the latter a woman. "The Stammering Waiter" and "Mardi Gras Adventure," on the other hand, are about the sexual disguises people wear. In the first a waiter tries to convince himself a prostitute really cares for him in a one-night stand, and in the second, the licentious, drunken atmosphere of New Orleans at Mardi Gras time lead to a similar tryst in the back seat of a car. "The Fetish Series" is humor aimed at the adult film industry; it's cute and more straightforwardly horny...as is "As the Paige Turns" in which a female psychotherapist questions her patient's addiction to a certain newsgroup called alt. sex. stories. There's a sequel, too. Some of these stories ended in ?? leading the reader to conclude they aren't finished, or are going to be finished, one day. A slightly annoying affectation, but one that makes sense, given the anecdotal nature of some of them. Of course, Hemingway's stories never really "ended" either, so Hawk might just be emulating Papa, which might be the case given the rugged he- man connotations of his name. Of the guest authors, one is Frederick T, the writer of the "Shack Lead" and "Willie Tamarack" series, and the other the Real Megillah, who contributed an interesting two-part story in a new ASS genre, redneck sex. Frigga is a fat, dumpy, beer-drinking, false-toothed, polyester-panted woman who hangs out in bars, and the narrator loves her for it. I'm not quite sure if the author is spoofing a sex fantasy here or is having an actual sexual fantasy about this type of individual, but either way the story works, and was quite readable. Overall, the site is a good place to visit for some interesting stories and links to others.
