After the staggering patron had paid him, Cloud checked the shelves behind him, checking to see what other beverages he would have to restock from the storeroom. Keeping the needed inventory in mind, Cloud motioned to Melissa, who was serving drinks for a table of rowdy construction workers. Melissa smiled warmly at Cloud, nodding that she understood that Cloud wanted her to tend the bar while he was away. Cloud walked to the storage area in the backroom of the 7th Heaven, opening crates and piling liquor bottles in his arms. "Need some help?" whispered Melissa, placing her slim arms around Cloud's waist. "Melissa! You're supposed to be watching the bar!" "They won't miss us for a few minutes," laughed the girl, sliding her hands across Cloud's crotch. "I told you that I'm already involved with someone." "It doesn't mean you can't have a little fun with me," purred Melissa, unbuckling Cloud's pants while he tried to keep all the bottles in his arms from falling. "Dammit! Cut it out!" "Poor baby," murmured Melissa, blowing into Cloud's left ear, then licking it wantonly. Cloud cursed as he hastily deposited the bottles atop a nearby box, spinning to face his horny employee. "That's about enough," warned Cloud darkly. "Not nearly enough," retorted Melissa, wrapping her arms around Cloud's neck and kissing him deeply. Cloud tried to ignore the way Melissa's lithe body rubbed against his, her breasts caressing his chest pleasantly. He attempted to dismiss the fruity scent of her red hair or the taste of her soft lips. "Stop it," growled Cloud, his hands firmly on Melissa's shapely hips. "Say please," giggled Melissa, placing her hands inside Cloud's open pants, massaging his cock sensually. Cloud tried to push Melissa away, but she remained stubbornly close to him, kissing him again on the mouth, stroking his member with her delicate hands until he thought he would explode. "Fuck me," ordered Melissa, raising her short skirt and leaning against one of the inventory boxes. Overcome with lust, Cloud yanked down Melissa's black silk panties, grasping her hips and shoving his rock hard shaft into her slick cunt. Melissa moaned with bliss, licking her lips and thrusting her ass against Cloud's crotch. Cloud pumped energetically into the young girl, his crotch slapping over Melissa's small buttocks, his tool pushing into her belly. "Yes! Yes!" panted Melissa, reaching underneath her shirt to fondle her tits, her pussy dripping with honey. Cloud slapped Melissa's buttocks, making her squeal with delight. He leaned forward to rub his face in her sweetly scented hair. With a soft grunt, Cloud shot his load into Melissa, slowly withdrawing his shaft while the girl caught her breath and pulled up her panties. "You're so sweet," giggled Melissa, kissing Cloud briefly on the lips before taking some of the bottles and leaving the small storage room. Cloud pulled up his pants, breathing heavily and mentally kicking himself for succumbing to Melissa's advances again. The rest of the evening passed quickly. Cloud closed the 7th Heaven at two in the morning, locking up with heavy lidded eyes, his body exhausted from the long day of serving customers. Melissa tried to get him to walk her home, but knowing what she had in mind, Cloud politely refused. After watching the beautiful girl depart, Cloud walked slowly home, barely noticing the late night street walkers and passing traffic. He finally reached Aeris' home, which they had both rebuilt after Cloud had restored her to life. The scent of flowers wafted on the breeze, invigorating Cloud and restoring some of his depleted strength. He quietly opened the front door, hoping that Aeris was in bed. "How was work?" inquired Aeris in her pink bathrobe, bringing Cloud a warm glass of milk. "Busy. Ever since Shinra began the reconstruction effort, we've been getting more laborer business. They stay right up to closing drinking their brains out." "Sounds rough," replied Aeris sympathetically, kissing Cloud on the forehead and giving him his drink. Cloud closed his eyes, feeling wonderfully at peace whenever he was with the lovely young woman. "Want me to draw you a bath?" "Naw. I just want to go to bed." "Drink your milk, I'll keep the bed warm for you," smiled Aeris, touching Cloud's cheek before ascending the stairs to the bedroom. "She deserves better than you," remarked a sharp female voice behind Cloud. Cloud spun around, sloshing milk everywhere. Elena grinned with amusement at Cloud's milk soaked form, running a hand through her short blonde hair. "What do you want, Turk?" snarled Cloud angrily. "Is that any way to talk to a future ally?" retorted Elena, walking gracefully to a nearby chair and sitting down without urging. "What are you talking about?" snapped Cloud, wiping milk from his shirt before taking a seat facing the beautiful gangster. "Have you been following Shinra's activities lately?" "Just the reconstruction operations. Everything seems okay. I didn't like the Mako reactors going back online, but with a nearly limitless Mako Well beneath us, they shouldn't be a problem for the Planet." "You're getting sloppy, Cloud. Refus is on the move. He's built a fleet of Highwind class airships, restarted the Soldier program, and sent two task forces out to Cosmo Canyon and Gold Saucer." "Why?" "My contacts say that Shinra wants the Master Materia. I believe your cat friend Nanaki still has possession of them?" "Yes, we put them in the Observatory Vault after we defeated Sephiroth." "Not a good move. Shinra attacked Cosmo Canyon, we believe Refus obtained two of the Master Materia." "What about the second task force?" "We don't know what Refus wants with Gold Saucer, but it can't be good. Refus wants to run the whole show, Cloud. You have to bring AVALANCHE back together again." "Oh, no. I'm not saving the world again. Why can't the Turks do it? You've got a big organization, resources, spies inside Shinra, you'll suffer like everyone else if Shinra takes over." "We're outlaws, Cloud. None of my people would stick their necks out for anyone else. You guys in AVALANCHE were heroes, you like sacrificing yourselves for the greater good." "I can't leave Aeris." "Bring her along, she was a fair materia user." "No! She died once, I won't let her get hurt again!" "Well, you have to do something, Cloud, or else many other people will die before Refus is done. I told you what I could, it's up to you now," said Elena as she stood up and walked to the door. "Thanks for the info, Elena," said Cloud reluctantly. "It's okay. It's just a suggestion, but I'd be a little more firm with that Melissa slut, you don't want to lose Aeris over a little tramp like that." Cloud blushed hotly as Elena left and closed the door after herself. Cloud sat in the dark for a long time, thinking about everything he had lost in the past, afraid of what he might lose in the future. He rose slowly, taking his cup to the kitchen sink, washing it out and placing it on the counter before going upstairs to the bedroom. Aeris was wrapped in the blankets when Cloud entered. He quickly got out of his wet clothes, brushing spiky blonde hair out of his face before sliding in behind Aeris. Cloud readjusted the blankets over both of them, snuggling close to Aeris' bare back, placing his left arm around her. "Hmm, was your milk good?" murmured Aeris sleepily. "Yes, it worked like a charm." "Good night, Cloud. I love you." "I love you too," whispered Cloud, kissing Aeris' shoulder, holding her tightly against him. He stared off at the bedroom window, watching the stars twinkle in the clear night sky. Shinra was on the move, and only he could stop it. Cloud awoke alone in the bed, the sun streaming in from the uncovered window. He groaned drowsily, covering his face with his right arm. He staggered up from the bed, shambling into the bathroom for a hot shower. More alert, Cloud dressed in a navy blue tunic and pants, worn black boots, and a plain leather belt with a sheathed dagger adorned with some of his favorite materia orbs. He climbed downstairs, going to the dining room where Aeris had already left his breakfast. Cloud sat down and enjoyed Aeris' scrambled eggs, sausage, and buttered toast. He drank two large mugs of coffee, then filled half a cup before taking his dishes to the kitchen. As he washed everything from breakfast and Aeris' dinner last night, Cloud gazed out the kitchen window over the sink, watching as Aeris cared for her huge garden. She wore a simple pink dress buttoned up the front, with a green ribbon holding her waist length brown hair out of the way in a loose ponytail. She knelt on the ground, removing weeds from around a beautiful rose bush with over a dozen bright red blooms. Cloud smiled as he watched Aeris work, at that moment she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen in his life. Finishing the dishes, Cloud left them to dry while he walked out to talk to Aeris. "Was breakfast still hot?" asked Aeris as she moved to another rose bush. "Yes, it was fine," replied Cloud, kissing the top of Aeris' head. "We need to talk about something." "What?" inquired Aeris, stopping her work to gaze up at Cloud with warm, wide eyes. "Elena came to visit last night." "What did she want?" "She says that Refus Shinra is up to some bad business. He's attacked Cosmo Canyon to get the Master Materia orbs." "Oh, no. Were Tifa or Nanaki hurt?" "Elena didn't say. She wants me to rebuild AVALANCHE." "Will you?" "I don't know. I don't want to be responsible for the whole world." "We are all responsible for each other. We are all one with the Planet," said Aeris softly. "I thought you would say something like that," smiled Cloud wanly, kissing Aeris affectionately on the forehead. "When do we get started?" "I don't want you getting involved this time. You died once, I won't lose you again." "Midgar is my home too. If I can help save the Planet, I will," argued Aeris firmly. "Aeris.." "I mean it, Cloud." "Alright, if that's the way you want it." "It's not what I want, Cloud. I want to live happily with you for the rest of my life in peace. But destiny doesn't always cooperate with our dreams." "I love you," said Cloud, kissing Aeris on the lips. "And I, you," smiled Aeris, stroking Cloud's face with her small hands. ******************************** -- +----------------' Story submission `-+-' Moderator contact `--------------+ | | | | Archive site +----------------------+--------------------+ Newsgroup FAQ | ----
