Hello, It’s been a little while.  

	Last summer I decided to take a break from writing
in order to recharge my batteries so to speak.  Coming on
the heels of a decision to relocate our family it seemed like a
good idea at the time.  A few weeks after that decision I
suffered a person loss with the death of someone very dear
to me and that break became longer than planned.  
	Over the last year I’ve written only one complete
story (Snowbound - posted 12/97).  But even that was just
the completion of an unfinished story from several months
before.  Since then I’ve made at least several starts, some
four or five thousand words long, only to loose interest or
become unhappy with the work.  I was beginning to become
convinced that I had indeed lost my muse.
	Awakenings is the first thing I’ve completed in that
time and if you read it I ask that you drop me a few lines
about what you thought of it. I’m not looking for false
praise just honest response.  If I have indeed lost my muse
then there is no sense in my wasting either my time or yours
in the future.

	Comments are the life blood of any amateur writer, the
currency in which they are paid.  It only takes a few minutes to
send off a few lines, which is little to ask for in exchange for 
hours spent creating a story.  So be sure to take those few 
minutes, it can only result in more and better stories in the 
future.
